Following on from DJ Vadim’s ‘Dubcatcher’ album, this high energy 2nd helping is packed with incredible vocal features from across the globe, including the likes of Big Red, Courtney Melody, Max Romeo and so many more. The productions draw influence from one side of Reggae to the other. Not put loosely there’s something here for you whether you’re into your old vibes or new. Vadim’s productions are authentic and at the same time firmly represent his particular Hip-Hop twist that he is so renowned for.
A choice pick for me is ‘Fussin n’ Fighting’, which features the ever impressive vocals of the UK’s Demolition Man who’s vocals soothingly hit with a conscious and meaningful message.
Another one that I’m feeling a lot is ‘Inner Lite’, which features French ‘Raggasonic’ legend ‘Big Red’ as well as fellow French singer ‘Pupa Jim’. This modern re-cut of the classic King Jammy’s’ ‘Tempo Riddim’ does the original more than justice and sees these two distinct vocalists styles blend seamlessly.
